Week 29

Hey everyone!

Huh, not too much to say this week. Not that we haven't been crazy busy, cause we totally have, but I guess not that much has changed from last week to this week. Life as a missionary can definitely drag sometimes, but it's great because we do our best to have fun along the way and every day is awesome in one way or another! That's one thing that I love about Elder Garner that I haven't really had with past companions. I think I've worked pretty well with all my companions in the past, but he's the first one that I feel like I actually get along really well with.

As far as the work goes, not much to report. We're supposed to be having a baptism this Saturday, but it's gonna have to get pushed back at least a week because Hyrum can't seem to make it to church. His work schedule is absolutely terrible, even by oil field standards, so we're working with some ward members to find a new job for him. There are a bunch that have offered him a job where he'll get almost every Sunday off, so hopefully he'll take one of those.

We went to an Islam church this last Friday with this Muslim guy we met a few weeks ago, which was fun. I was super surprised about how similar their beliefs are to ours, they're honestly closer than some other Christian churches! Hagi is a great guy, he's hopefully going to be coming to church with us this next week.

We gave talks in church this last Sunday on the Plan of Salvation. We didn't know we were speaking until about two days before and we didn't have any time at all to plan our talks until Saturday night, but hopefully it went well. Everybody in the Church is always gonna tell you you did great but I mean even if it was the worst talk they ever heard they're not gonna come up to you and tell you how awful you did... so who knows?

I finally finished Exodus this last week, which is a relief... I'm sure there are many, many hidden truths inside those super long and confusing chapters, but my gospel knowledge isn't even close to where it needs to be to understand all the weird symbolism in there! Dad, maybe you can help me out with it. Now on to Leviticus! Things are about to get a whole lot weirder and more confusing... so hurray I guess.

Hope everyone has a great week!
